The concept of Faith Church started with a 3-day power-packed crusade held from 15th August to 17th August under the fervent leadership of Lady Evang. Gloria Iberiyenari (JP). From its very beginnings as a fellowship, it was characterized by prayer, deliverance, and spiritual expansion.
The church expanded rapidly, making huge progress. Notable contributions during its formative years included Mrs. Belema Joseph providing electricity to the venue and Mrs. Daisy Iruagunima purchasing over seven dozen plastic chairs to aid worship in the auditorium. Mr. Geoffery O. R. Gudi (now KSC) and Mr. A. W. Agriba served selflessly on the building committee to erect the physical structures for worship and equip the church.
However, despite the immense growth under "Mother" Iberiyenari, the church eventually yearned for a clergyman to administer priestly functions such as Baptism and the Holy Eucharist. In response, the Diocesan Bishop officially posted the church's first resident clergyman.
The First Clergyman: Rev. Dr. Samuel A. Iyala took over from Lady Evang. Gloria on January 14, 2023. During his tenure, morning prayers were made accessible to non-Anglicans, and ambitious plans began for purchasing land for a Vicarage. Under him, the church was officially pronounced a Missionary Parish. Rev. Dr. & Mrs. S. A. Iyala served energetically until their transfer on August 12, 2024.
A New Era of Possibilities: On August 12, 2024, Rev. Damiete Dandyson & Mrs. Rosemary M. Martyns-Yellowe assumed leadership. Rev. Martyns-Yellowe had previously prophesied a "new season by the Mighty Hand of God" over the church in 2020. Indeed, his arrival brought a massive surge of development. Working closely with an energetic highly spiritual PCC, Rev. Martyns-Yellowe oversaw the construction of a Baptismal Font, a Belfry, a Marble Pulpit, a Marble Altar Table, and the remodeling of the chancel with stained glass aesthetics. Under his guidance, Faith Church also secured licensing to conduct marriages directly.
